Rift between IUML and a section in Samastha widens

THE issues between IUML and a section in Samastha Kerala Jem-Iyyathul Ulama continued to boil with Panakkad Syed Sadiq Ali Shihab Thangal and P K Kunhalikutty expressing dissatisfaction over Samastha leaders' refusal to honour the agreement reached at the meeting held at Panakkad on Monday.

Thangal told reporters that there is lack of clarity in the Samastha leaders' assertion that all the issues have been sorted out. A meeting was held in Palakkad on Monday at the instance of Samastha president Syed Muhammad Jiffiri Muthukoya Thangal, which was attended by other leaders, including Umar Faizi Mukkam and Abdul Hameed Faizi Ambalakkadavu.
