Health official's YouTube video quotes Salafi scholar's fatwa, allays fears around vaccination

A video by an employee with the health department here quoting the fatwa by Salafi scholar Sheikh Ibn Baz on the necessity of vaccination has become an effective tool for health workers to overcome the resistance to vaccination raised by certain sections on religious grounds.
C P Saleem, who is the technical assistant in-charge with the District Medical Office here, released a video on YouTube as part of the government's campaign for getting children vaccinated against measles and rubella. The campaign that began on May 19 will culminate on May 31.
