BJP slams Rahul 'surrender' remarks, says 'Cong DNA'
The New Indian Express Kozhikode
|June 05, 2025
IN a blistering counter to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's 'Narendra surrender' jibe, BJP president JP Nadda described the comment as treasonous and accused him of having the "DNA of surrender".
"Rahul Gandhi, you may have surrendered, your party may have surrendered, your leaders may have surrendered because your history has been like this. But India never surrenders," Nadda declared.
Attacking the Congress over Gandhi's barb, Nadda stated, "Surrender is in the dictionary of your party Congress, and it is in your DNA. You surrendered to terrorism, surrendered in Sharm El-Sheikh, surrendered at the table in Shimla after winning the 1971 war, surrendered in the Indus Waters Treaty, surrendered the Haji Pir Pass and surrendered a 160-km area of Chhamb sector."
He accused Rahul and Congress of capitulation during key historical events, saying, "Your Congress government surrendered in the 1961 war, surrendered in 1948 and even surrendered to the Muslim League at the time of Independence."
