5-year-old girl murdered in Hubballi, cops shoot accused dead

A FIVE-YEAR-OLD girl was found dead inside a toilet of an under-construction building in Adhyapak Nagar of Hubballi on Sunday.
The police took swift action and managed to arrest the accused within a few hours of the crime.
In the evening, when the accused was trying to escape from the police, he was shot dead by Police Sub-Inspector Annapoorna.
The accused, Ritesh Kumar, 35, from Patna in Bihar was accused of kidnapping and murdering the girl, said Police Commissioner N Shashi Kumar.
