Wayanad rehab: SC dismisses Elstone Estate's plea seeking to halt acquisition

THE Supreme Court on Monday rejected the Elstone Estate's petition challenging the Kerala High Court's order of acquisition of land for the rehabilitation of survivors of the Mundakkai-Chooralmala disaster in Wayanad.
"We are not inclined to entertain the petition," said a two-judge bench, comprising Justice Dipankar Datta and Justice Manmohan. The petition filed by Elstone Estate sought for a stay on the HC order that permitted land acquisition.
