- EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE @Kottayam

AS the torrential rain began to subside, the Kottayam district continued to deal with the aftermath of floods that wreaked havoc in its low-lying areas. In response to the heavy rains and flooding, authorities have relocated 633 families to relief camps throughout the district.

All major rivers in the region, including the Meenachil, Kodoor, Pampa, Achenkovilar, and Manimalayar, continue to flow at high levels, breaching their banks at various points and submerging numerous homes and farmlands.
