Project Likely to Get Technical Nod and Move to Tendering Stage in One-and-a-Half Months
The Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB) has given financial approval of ₹60.03 crore for the construction of the Kavalam-Thattassery bridge across the Pampa river in Kuttanad. With the approval, a major hurdle that stood against the project for many years, has been overcome. The land acquisition for the bridge was completed in 2023, but the delay in receiving a nod from KIIFB for the revised estimate stalled the project.
