WITH the annual feast at the Basilica of Our Lady of Health in Velankanni to commence shortly, train service to the shrine from the state is expected to be increased to a tri-weekly service. Currently, the Ernakulam-Velankanni Express operates twice a week. In view of the annual festival, the Southern Railway has recently announced a couple of special trains from Ernakulam and Thiruvananthapuram to Velankanni.
