The number of offerings for the vallasadya, organised under the supervision of the Aranmula Palliyoda Seva Sangham, has seen a remarkable increase in August.

- EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE @Pathanamthitta

As many as 482 vallasadyas have already been booked for the month. In comparison, only 55 vallasadyas were held last month. This month alone, 223 sadya events are being conducted across 15 oottupuras (traditional dining spaces), with 15 contractors handling the preparations.

On Friday, vallasadyas were held for palliyodams (snake boats) of Mallapuzhassery, Edakkulam, Malakkara, and Cherukol. Compared to regular days, the number of sadyas held on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays is significantly higher.
