Work came to a halt after doctors pushed for 11-storey building for a full-fledged trauma centre
The construction of the critical block at Paripally Medical College remains incomplete, even four years after it was launched.
Originally planned as a two-storey facility with an estimated budget of ₹5 crore, the project was inaugurated by then Health Minister K K Shailaja in February 2021.
Following demands to expand it to five storeys, an additional ₹3.10 crore was sanctioned. However, work came to a halt after doctors pushed for an 11-storey building to accommodate a full-fledged trauma centre, leaving the project in limbo.
