'Misbehaving' man suffers injured ear in bar fracas; cops file 2 cases

A man from Thodupuzha sustained a stab injury to his ear during a reported scuffle at a DJ party at Millennials Restobar, a private watering hole in Kochi, late on Saturday night.
Following the incident, Ernakulam Town police registered two separate cases — one against a woman, who has been accused of attacking the man with a wine glass, and the other against the victim, based on the latter's allegation of sexual misconduct.
"A thorough investigation is under way. Based on complaints from both parties, we have registered two separate cases: One involving sexual misconduct naming the youth as the accused and the other for attempted murder implicating the woman," said Sibi Tom, ACP of Ernakulam central subdivision.
