New MEMU rake reaches Kollam, likely to be used to expand 8-car MEMUs

A brand new 12-car MEMU (Mainline Electric Multiple Unit) rake manufactured at Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala, with orange and yellow livery, arrived at the Kollam MEMU Shed on Thursday.
A BRAND new 12-car MEMU (Mainline Electric Multiple Unit) rake manufactured at Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala, with orange and yellow livery, arrived at the Kollam MEMU Shed on Thursday. The cars are likely to be used for augmenting the eight-car MEMU trains running in the state, while the Thiruvananthapuram Railway Division is anticipating more such rakes in the following months as the MEMU shed expansion works in Kollam have been expedited.
