Muslim cleric booked for remarks against Dimple Yadav

POLITICAL controversy has erupted after the registration of a criminal case against cleric Maulana Sajid Rashidi at Vibhuti Khand Police station in Lucknow late Sunday evening over the objectionable remarks made by him against Samajwadi Party MP Dimple Yadav related to her visit to a mosque with husband Akhilesh Yadav.
While the maulana on Monday stood by his statement saying it was being stretched, NDA MPs protested against his statement at Parliament seeking Akhilesh's response.
