Kasaragod Sees Rise in Number of People Venturing into Homestay Biz

Out of the 24 homestays in the district, 19 have been classified under the gold category
THE Kasaragod district has witnessed a rise in the number of people generating income by hosting tourists and offering home-cooked meals. The growing popularity of Bekal has significantly contributed to drawing tourists' attention to other destinations within the district, resulting in an increased demand for homestays.
This rising interest has encouraged many individuals to venture into the homestay business, offering accommodations to meet the needs of visitors exploring the region. As many as 24 homestays have been classified under the tourism department's classification list so far. In addition to these, several homestays operate without official registration.
