Ex-SFI leader accuses Peringome CPM leadership of land-sale fraud

KANNUR is in the centre of a brewing controversy with former SFI district leader Rashid Ibrahim accusing CPM leaders of selling the Martyrs' Memorial land in Munayankunnu, Peringome, for personal gain.
Rashid, who raised the allegation in a Facebook post, suggested that party leaders profited off commission from the sale.
"With media channels having aired news of the party state conference's critical examination of allegations that there are real estate developers within the party, will action be taken against the area committee that sold the remains of martyrs and allowed a local committee member to run real estate deals?" Rashid wrote on Facebook, taking aim at local leaders in Peringome.
