Bauxite survey report to be submitted within a month

THE final phase of the bauxite survey in the Kasaragod region has entered its last leg. The bauxite reserves in the area have been found to contain a favourable aluminium content, indicating a high-quality ore compared to other states in the country.

The mining activities will be strictly confined to areas without human settlements, ensuring that the residential zones within the region remain unaffected by the operations. Officials overseeing the survey have announced their plans to initiate the auction process for mining rights by July, aiming to facilitate the responsible extraction of these resources. The report will be submitted to the government within one month.
