To be implemented in two phases to address threat of wild elephant attacks in the region
CONSTRUCTION of a 5.2-km-long solar hanging fence in Aralam is set to begin Monday under the leadership of the Agency for Non-conventional Energy and Rural Technology (ANERT).
The project, estimated at ₹56 lakh, will be implemented in two phases to address the persistent threat of wild elephant attacks in the region.
In the first phase, 3.6 km of the fence will be built using ₹20 lakh allocated by the district panchayat. The remaining 1.6 km will be constructed in the second phase with ₹16 lakh from the Aralam panchayat.
