State Govt Orders Probe Into Alleged Mismanagement At Sugar Factory

The state government has appointed inquiry officers to investigate allegations of irregular administrative, financial activities and mismanagement at the politically influential M.K. Hubballi Malaprabha Cooperative Sugar Factory in Belagavi district.
With the approval of the Minister for Textile, Sugarcane Development and Sugar, and Agricultural Marketing, Shivanand Patil, inquiry officers have been appointed. The government has ordered a joint probe covering all legal aspects of alleged misappropriations between 2018-19 and 2022-23. These include irregularities in sugar sales, procurement of storage materials, and other violations in administrative and financial matters.
