Minister Priyank Kharge Wants Swift Flood Response, Safety Measures in Kalaburagi

Care should be taken to ensure no human, animal lives are lost due to floods, RDPR Minister instructs officials

The officials should be prepared to deal effectively with the damages caused due to recent continuous rains across the district and the possible flood situation in the coming days, said Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister Priyank Kharge who is also Kalaburagi district in-charge minister.

Presiding over a meeting with senior officials of the Kalaburagi district administration through video conference on Monday, Priyank Kharge said that care should be taken to ensure that no human or animal lives are lost due to the floods. If a house collapses due to rain, or if it is partially damaged, immediate compensation should be provided as per the NDRF/SDRF rules. He strictly instructed the officials that there should be no delay in payment of compensation.
