Items worth Rs 22L stolen from Belagavi temple

Thieves broke into Shivabasappa Ajja temple at Tigadi village of Bailhongal taluk on Saturday night and stole 30 kg of silver items that include face mask of the deity, Nandi idol, four silver sticks, Padukas, Gunagadagi, Rudraxi chain and other ornaments.

BELAGAVI: According to temple priest Umesh Hiremath, the worth of the stolen items is approximately Rs 22 lakh.
