To suggest ways of improving quality of education and SSLC exam results, an expert committee headed by senior academician Prof. Chaya Degaonkar and constituted by Kalyana Karnataka Region Development Board will submit its interim action plan in July.
A final action plan will be submitted in August to strengthen basic education from 7th to 10th standard in Kalyana Karnataka region, said Prof. Chaya.
Speaking to The New Indian Express over phone, Prof Chaya said that the results of SSLC has given a shock to the KK region again. Considering this, she has sought school-wise and subject-wise details from all the districts of KK Region.
The expert committee will submit its report to the board on September 17, she added.
Academician Basavaraj Kumnoor, former principal of Ambedkar Degree College said, "Unless a proper monitoring system of high schools is introduced, we cannot expect good results".
