TREKKING activities have officially resumed in the Dhamane S Bailur forest area under the Belagavi regional division, offering nature enthusiasts, tourists and environmentalists a renewed chance to experience the unspoiled beauty of the Western Ghats.

With access once again open to popular attractions such as Tilari Waterfall, Kada Viewpoint, and Tilari Backwaters, visitors can immerse themselves in the area's rich biodiversity and breathtaking landscapes.

The initiative, jointly relaunched by the Forest Department and the Village Forest Committee of Dhamane S. Bailur under the guidance of Deputy Conservator of Forests Maria Christu Raja D, aims to promote sustainable tourism while creating employment opportunities for local residents. Officials emphasised that the programme strikes a vital balance between responsible tourism and the conservation of fragile forest ecosystems.
