"I am speechless. My son has returned safely, Thank God," says the teary-eyed mother of Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla.
After her son splashed down after completing his 18-day space odyssey on Tuesday, Asha Shukla, the family and all of Aliganj now eagerly await his return to India, reportedly scheduled for August 17.
The joy of the Shukla household knew no bounds as the Group Captain returned to Earth after the historic mission to the International Space Station (ISS). While the mother was seen wiping away her copious tears upon seeing her son emerge from the SpaceX Dragon spacecraft 'Grace', his father, equally emotional, was seen basking in the glory of his son's accomplishment.
