NBWL turns down 4G tower, OFC proposals in STR core

The National Board for Wildlife (NBWL) has turned down the state wildlife wing's proposal for installation of a 4G mobile tower and laying of optical fiber cable (OFC) in the core zone of Similipal Tiger Reserve (STR).
It has also put on hold the proposal for installation of 4G mobile towers and OFC network in at least 25 of the 33 villages in the buffer zone of the tiger reserve, referring the matter to the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA) for more details.
