Fire in Maha Kumbh after cylinder blast guts 40 tents

A major fire broke out on Sunday in the Mahakumbh area of Prayagraj on Sunday, police said, adding that there was no report of any casualty.
The fire, which engulfed 40 tents in Sector 19, was triggered by a gas cylinder leak, which led to a series of explosions from the gas cylinders.
"Two cylinders exploded in Sector 19 of the Maha Kumbh Mela, causing a massive fire in the camps," Akhara Police Station In-charge Bhaskar Mishra said.
Firefighters were pressed into service to douse the blaze, he added.
Visuals from the site showed plumes of smoke emerging. Upon receiving information, fire tenders reached the spot, and extinguished the flames.
