HC exempts Sridhar Babu from court appearance

JUSTICE K Lakshman of the Telangana High Court on Monday dispensed with the personal appearance of Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Minister for Information Technology, in a case linked to disruptions during the public hearing on the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Project.
The case, stemming from an FIR (No. 162/2017) registered on August 23, 2017, at Basantnagar police station in Peddapalli district, accuses Sridhar Babu and over 300 others of rioting, criminal force to deter public servants, and mischief (Sections 147, 353, 427 read with 149 IPC).
