Velodrome project reaches its final stage, sports dept waiting for CFI's clearance

THE Velodrome project for professional cyclists is almost ready for inauguration, as the Department of Sports is waiting only for the clearance from the Cycling Federation of India (CFI).

The construction of the Velodrome project in Bhutanal, on the outskirts of the city, is almost completed, with only painting work left.

"We have completed everything as per CFI's specification, and now, we are waiting for them to issue the 'No Objection Certification' (NOC). We hope to get it shortly. The project will be completed and can be inaugurated within a month," said Rajshekhar Daiwadi, Assistant Director of the Sports Department.
