Over 40 fall ill in Bhutaladinni village after drinking contaminated water

More than 40 people fell ill with vomiting and diarrhoea in Bhutaladinni village in Sindhanur taluk on Saturday after drinking contaminated water.
27 people were treated at Bhutaladinni health centre and have recovered after receiving the medicines. Seven people from the same village are being treated at Harapur Health Centre.
Two people are being treated at the Sindhanur government hospital and four at various private hospitals. All of them suffered from vomiting and diarrhoea due to drinking contaminated water, said Dr Nagaraj Katava, Taluk Health Officer of the government hospital.
