Kingpin nabbed in Rs 1.7 cr dacoity case amid high drama

THE Uttara Kannada police have arrested three more persons in connection with a daring dacoity that took place earlier this year.
Months after the January 2025 incident of a car being found near Ramanguli presumed to be a hawala activity, which was later declared as a dacoity has now witnessed another development with three persons, including the kingpin involved in the incident, arrested by the police in Belagavi on Thursday.
Following a complaint registered with the Ankola Police, the accused fled their homes to various places. Though the police managed to zero-in on five persons involved in the incident, the prime accused, Talwat, Naufal and Sahil were apprehended at Belagavi and were being taken to Ankola via Haliyal.
