HESCOM has stated in a press release that as per the directive of the Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission (KERC) dated February 6, 2024, it has been made mandatory for the customers getting new electricity connections under Hubballi Electricity Supply Company Limited from September 1, 2025 to install smart meters.
