THE Dharwad district administration held a complete and comprehensive review of the civil defence activities and steps needed during any exigencies like an attack by foreign powers. Also, with civil defence volunteers, the personnel from the District Disaster Management Authorities were also part of the meeting held to assess the preparedness for facing any eventualities.

The meeting emphasised the necessary measures to be implemented to ensure civil safety, peace and order in the district as instructed by the state government. Following the latter's directive, steps have been taken to coordinate efforts among various departmental officers. The agencies involved in this task were instructed to remain alert to prevent any kind of fear, unnecessary hike in prices of essentials or creation of artificial shortages.
