PRESIDENT Droupadi Murmu and Vice-President C P Radhakrishnan reminded the nation on Constitution Day on Wednesday that India's democratic spirit, rooted in its people and its Constitution, continues to guide the country's ambitious journey toward becoming a developed nation.

- RAJESH KUMAR THAKUR @ New Delhi

Speaking in the Central Hall of Samvidhan Sadan, President Murmu described the Constitution as "the document of our national pride" and "the text of our national identity," stressing that it offers a path forward "with a nationalist mindset by abandoning the colonial mindset." She told members of both Houses that they are "the bearers, creators, and witnesses of the glorious tradition of our Constitution and democracy."
