AN open well in Dharwad has turned into a swimming pool for hundreds of people to beat the summer heat.
However, serious concerns are being raised as the Nucchuambli well is a natural water body and there are no safety measures. The well has a history of tragic incidents with cases of drowning taking place almost every year. Nucchuambli well was constructed in olden days and is surrounded by steps. When a person goes deeper into the well, the chances of getting drowned increase due to the narrow shape of the well.
