Centre Released Rs 5 Lakh Cr for State Infra Projects in 11 Years: Somanna

STATING that the Narendra Modi government's contribution to the state was quite significant, Union Minister of State for Railways and Jalashakti V Somanna said that over the past 11 years, the Union government has released around Rs 5 lakh crore to build infrastructure across various sectors including road, railway, energy and urban development.
Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, Somanna said, all procedures related to the Hubballi-Ankola new railway line project are progressing positively, and the project is expected to take a clear shape in the next two to three months. The project has received clearance from the Forest Department. Approval from the Wildlife Board is in its final stages. The route survey work has also been completed, he added.
