AFTER serving in the Russian army for eight months in the war with Ukraine, Rakesh Yadav from Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh returned to India and claimed that more than 25 youths from India are still stuck in the conflict zone.
Yadav on Sunday reached Sultanpur Lodhi near Kapurthala in Punjab to express his gratitude to AAP's Rajya Sabha MP Sant Balbir Singh Seechewal for saving him.
"In the war one of my companions was killed in a drone attack by Ukraine. My life was saved because I jumped into the bunker built there as soon as I saw the drone," Yadav said.
Referring to another incident, he said that on June 17 one of his colleagues died in a grenade explosion there but the death news was shared with his family by the Russian authorities only after six months.
