Sitheri residents wary as landslips damage road

RESIDENTS of Sitheri are distressed by the repeated landslips on their hill roads as they fear that it could lead to their roads caving in.
Sitheri panchayat, which is a group of tribal hamlets located along Shevaroy hills near Harur, has 60 minor villages with a population of over 10,000 people. Sitheri is connected with Harur via a tar road and that is one of the key roads that provide connectivity with other areas. However, recently, during cyclone Fengal, a landslip left the roads in shambles.
