Nominated members can't be removed before end of term: Andhra Pradesh HC

A division bench comprising Chief Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur, and Justice Cheemalapati Ravi, in a recent verdict, made it clear that the government lacks the legal authority to issue orders for the removal or seek resignation of nominated members without statutory provisions. It explicitly rejected the application of the 'Doctrine of Pleasure', which permits discretionary removal, emphasizing that such power cannot be exercised without legal backing.
