No transfer for GH doctors until vacancies filled

Health dept took decision as 20 out of 30 docs wanted med college hospital posting
THE health department has deferred issuing transfer orders in Coimbatore as several doctors working in government hospitals (GHs) have sought transfer to medical college hospitals citing increased workload due to manpower shortage in their institutions. There are a total of 25 vacancies in 13 GHs in the district.
Sources said, transfer counselling was held last month, in which the doctors working at GHs could apply for transfer between DME and DMS. In Coimbatore, 20 out of 30 doctors who are working at various GHs sought transfer to medical college hospitals.
