Ecclestone Takes UP Warriorz into Super Over
The New Indian Express Dharmapuri
|February 25, 2025
ELLYSE Perry's highest score of the women's Premier League (90) helped Royal Challengers Bengaluru post 180 against UP Warriorz at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Monday before Sophie Ecclestone's late surge forced a super over.
Batting first, Bengaluru lost captain Smriti Mandhana early. Danni Wyatt-Hodge then found a partner in Perry who continued her supreme form in the competition. The Australian welcomed Ecclestone with back-to-back boundaries. Kranti Goud, who bowled exceptionally well against Delhi Capitals in the previous match, started off with a boundary against Perry but soon found her momentum. At the end of the halfway mark, Bengaluru were 67/1 for the loss of one wicket.
