TNSTC driver fails to open door after fire scare, suspended

A bus driver of the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC), Coimbatore region, has been suspended for the alleged delay in letting out bus passengers promptly after smoke was detected in the vehicle a week ago.
The suspended driver, V Sivasubramaniyan of Pollachi TNSTC Branch 1, has been instructed not to leave Pollachi without the permission of the branch manager and other officers.
The suspension order was issued to the driver on Monday for failing to ensure the passenger safety, a TNSTC source said.
