The public has raised concerns that nurses are taking charge and administering medication when doctors are on leave at the newly opened Urban Health and Wellness Centres (UHWCs) in the city.

- EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE @ Coimbatore

Despite officials' claims that all positions, including doctors, have been filled at the 72 centers across the district, patients complain about the absence of doctors and demand their presence on working days.

A patient with a diabetic wound shared his experience after visiting UHWCs in Ramanathapuram and Puliyakulam last Friday.
