Use of BrahMos supersonic missile to target airbases unnerved Islamabad

INDIA'S DECISIVE move to attack multiple airbases using BrahMos missiles cornered Pakistan and forced them to agree to a ceasefire, highly-placed sources told TNIE.

Indeed, the damage wreaked by these supersonic cruise missiles, used for the first time by India in combat, had exposed Pakistan's military capability and rendered their tactical deployment of nuclear weapons near impossible.
"The missile was mounted on a Sukhoi Su-30 MKI fighter jet and targeted Pakistan's key military installations and air bases, including Noor Khan (Chaklala), which is 10 kilometres from Islamabad and used by their army chief," sources said. The damage to Noor Khan was such that it neutralised access to their nuke assets after the missile destroyed the road and air strip. The images of the airbases after the strike showed extensive damage.
