Navy holds 1st submarine ops in S China Sea

IN a significant display of capability and team work with international maritime forces, the Indian Navy carried out its maiden mating exercise with the foreign navy submarines far-off from Indian shores.
The Indian Navy announced on Saturday that it has "successfully achieved ‘maiden mating' with foreign submarines in South China Sea (SCS) during XPR-25 (Exercise Pacific Reach-2025) conducting full spectrum of Intervention and Rescue Operations. Three successful mates, including ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle) operations, over three days showcased our growing global rescue capabilities."
Defining the exercise as a "milestone", the Indian Navy added it "underscores our readiness, interoperability and commitment to global submarine rescue, proving India as a dependable maritime partner and a proactive contributor to regional safety and humanitarian response at sea."
