Over 80% of agreements signed in 3 years are under implementation, says Stalin
THE Tamil Nadu government at the TN Rising Conclave in Madurai on Sunday signed 91 MoUs with industry leaders valued at ₹36,660 crore, creating a pipeline of over 56,000 direct jobs across multiple sectors.
Chairing the conclave, Chief Minister M K Stalin claimed that the DMK government has secured the highest conversion rate of MoUs in the country in the past three years. Stating that the government's intent went beyond signing agreements, Stalin in his address to the industry leaders, said, "More than 80% of the MoUs secured in the past three years are already under implementation.'
The CM attributed the investment momentum to policy consistency, skilled human resources, strong infrastructure and dependable law-and-order. Stalin said Reliance Industries has entered into an MoU to invest ₹11,760 crore for establishing a bio energy plant in Tamil Nadu, which will create 7,000 jobs. This development was first reported by TNIE in the edition dated December 7.
