H1 Start-Up Funding Falls 25%

Raised only $4.8 bn in first half of 2025 as against $6.4 bn in Jan-Jun 2024

The start-up funding landscape across different stages continues to show a downward trend as they raised only $4.8 billion, a 25% year-on-year decline in the first half of 2025 compared to $6.4 billion in January-June 2024. This funding in H1, 2025 is about 19% lower compared to July-December 2024 ($5.9 billion).

According to market intelligence platform Tracxn's India Tech Semi-Annual Funding Report, H1 of 2025 seed stage funding dropped by 44% to $452 million as against $802 million in H1, 2024. Early and late-stage funding too declined 16% YoY and 27% YoY, respectively.
