Akal Takht asks filmmakers to refrain from making movies on Sikh figures

AKAL Takht acting Jathedar Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj has asked filmmakers and artistes to refrain from depicting historic Sikh figures in any film, documentary or animated form that violate Sikh principles.
The temporal seat shall announce a concrete policy on it, he added. Gargaj was addressing a gathering at Akal Takht Sahib attended by Sikh intellectuals and representatives on Friday. He said previous orders of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) on the issue will remain in effect.
