USTR Lights Into India Ahead Of Tariff Rollout

AHEAD of the expected rollout of reciprocal tariffs on April 2, the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) raised concerns over India's trade policies.
In its 2025 National Trade Estimate (NTE) Report on Foreign Trade Barriers, the USTR cited India's high tariffs, restrictive digital trade rules, weak intellectual property enforcement, and unfair procurement practices as key obstacles for US businesses.
