Testing Škoda Kodiaq's new variants on the vibrant streets of Mumbai

The Škoda Kodiaq has long been a beloved premium 4x4 SUV, known for its safety, comfort, and clever features. The latest generation from the Czech brand has now launched in India in two variants: Sportline and the top-end Selection L&K.

Škoda India recently hosted its national media drive through the vibrant streets of Mumbai. I pushed the Kodiaq through narrow alleys, over stunning bridges, and along the newly opened coastal roads, all the way into the wee hours.

The city, lit by countless bulbs and the energy of night-time revellers, provided the perfect backdrop for the lively, three-row SUV.

Of course, I picked the top-end Selection L&K variant. While the exterior design is understated, the LED headlamps connected by a horizontal light strip across the grille are striking at night. The connected tail lamps carry the same visual charm.

I took the Kodiaq to some of Mumbai's most iconic locations — Marine Drive, Gateway of India, Taj Mahal Palace Hotel, Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, and Worli Sea Face.
