HC tells tahsildar to give report, sketch of land to HDK

THE Karnataka High Court granted a week to the Ramanagara tahsildar to provide the report/sketch to Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy in connection with the show-cause notice issued to him over alleged encroachment of land by him at Kethaganahalli in Ramanagara district.
After the report/sketch, Kumaraswamy has to file objections to the show-cause notice issued to him under Section 104 of the Karnataka Land Revenue Act, 1964 by the tahsildar in two weeks, said Justice NS Sanjay Gowda, adjourning the next hearing to April 22. The plea, filed by Kumaraswamy, contended that the tahsildar has no jurisdiction to issue the notice and challenged the validity of Section 104 of the Act.
