|July 17, 2025
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) in its probe into the Pahalgam terror attack has found that the terrorists fired in the air after targeting individuals, possibly with intent to deter others from either helping the victims or in celebrations, sources said on Wednesday.
The attack on April 22 led to the killing of 26 persons, mostly tourists at Baisaran Meadows in Pahalgam area.
Narrating the events that led to the barbaric killing of people, a key witness told the NIA probe team that he was confronted by the three Pakistani terrorists in the Baisaran meadow moments after they executed the terrorist attack, the sources said.
